Power steering adds value and comfort to any classic car. This package is for running first generation Camaros with a SBC or BBC engines that will be driven into our facility. If your vehicle is not in running condition or will need additional parts please see our other services and products.
Our power steering upgrade package includes:
- Removing existing manual steering components
- Install conversion parts (included):
- power steering gear box
- power steering pitman arm
- power steering pump with cap
- power steering pulley
- steering pump bracket for (SBC or BBC)
- high & low pressure hoses
- steering rag joint
- v-belt
- fluid
- Adjust power steering pump bracket to align p/s pulley to crank pulley
- Final system operation check lock to lock with engine running
- Top off power steering fluid
*Old parts which are removed are turned in to replace core charges.
Other Requirements:
Your running engine will need to have either a double or triple crank pulley already installed at the time of drop off.
We also have double and triple crank pulley install packages. You would need a double crank pulley if you were only adding power steering to your engine and a triple crank pulley if you also plan on adding air conditioning + power steering.
